Os Confederados

A new play out of Columbia's MFA program, this show dives into issues of race and identity. Spanning nearly 150 years in a family, OS CONFEDERADOS traces the evolution of race, thought, and tradition in a Confederate family that moved to Americana, Brazil following defeat in Civil War. Zachary plays Jessie, the patriarch of this young community in the years immediately following their move. He also plays a Chuck, a business developer seeking to capitalize on the "Southern Culture" that the community has kept alive for 150 years.
